Three Steps To Your Successful Business Idea

Are you desperate to run your own business but don’t have an idea? A lot of us see a successful entrepreneur and then immediately want to be like them. But, we need to realise that being an entrepreneur is no easy task and one thing which you have to be to make it work is passionate.

The quote from Colin Wright states:

“Follow your passions and money will come. Chase money and you may never find your passions.”

The importance of this is we all would love to be able to wake up in the morning and love going to work - now wouldn’t that be the life? This is one of the reasons why when we think about setting up a business we should be passionate about the idea we are pursuing. If we are passionate about the idea then when we hit a problem, we will be more likely to pull through because of this innate passion.

So what are some steps you can get started with to come up with a business idea that you are passionate about? Here are what I think the steps you should go through in order to find that idea that suits you:

1. Think of a topic you are really passionate about. This could be a sport, a type of food, or an industry such as fashion to name but a few.

2. Think of a problem within that. For example in fashion it could be finding the best sales in your local area.

3. When you have this problem now you have got to find a solution, and there you have it your business idea. For fashion it could be an app that shows all the sales in your local area.

Although this seems like it is very easy to find a great idea, there is a lot of research you have to do in every step. This research is crucial to ensure that your idea is a success and this is something I will be writing about in the coming weeks. One thing that is important to remember is once you have this idea you need stay open minded as sometimes your business model may change to ensure the idea fits into the modern market, this is what we call pivoting, which is another topic that I will be writing about in the coming weeks.
